Our learning programs connect you with our culture, community and natural environment.

Ranging from long-term collaborations with universities, to short courses, and one off workshops, our learning programs aim to celebrate the vibrancy of Sumberkima, as well as grow awareness and solve problems facing our community and environment today.

Creative research Residencies

Offering places through open call, our residencies address local issues in a global context. In partnership with experienced professionals and institutions, we bring local, national and international creatives together to explore urgent issues of our time.

In order to connect the learning with more people in our neighbourhood, all our residencies offer free public events and workshops.

Currently Samong Haven offers one thematic group residency each year.

Courses & Creative Escapes

Ranging from three days to two weeks, our courses help you learn new creative techniques and gain understanding of the culture and environment of North West Bali.

We run free, accessible programmes for children, youth and adults living nearby that draw on artistic processes to cover topics such as craft techniques, waste management, sustainable building, and permaculture methods.
